Miniature Bull Terriers are powerful well-proportionate dogs. The breed is a smaller version of the Standard Bull Terrier that was bred for bull baiting in Great Britain. The Miniature Bull Terrier appeared as a ratter and can be used as a companion dog. The breed is characterized by a compact body build. Overall, it resembles the Standard Bull Terrier in appearance and temperament qualities.

The Miniature Bull Terrier has small closely set eyes of almond shape. The head is practically flat at the top. The breed has a short coat. Miniature Bull Terriers come in pure white, red, fawn, brindle, black, and tri-color. The dog carries the tail horizontally. It should never curve over the back.
