This dog stands 10-14 inches high at the withers, and smaller or bigger species are considered to be faulty. He comes in white, black, fawn, red, brindle and tri-color. These dogs weigh 24-33 pounds and have a sturdy body build.

This dog is a descendant of the Old English Bulldog and a now extinct fighter dog. However, this particular breed was not always a successful pit fighter, and some people used him as a working dog, since he proved quite intelligent and amenable to discipline.
